PRAYER PSALM 8

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

O YHVH - Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, for You have set Your glory above the heavens.

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, I wonder how it is that You can even be mindful of me or any man.  How is it that You even bother visiting us?  Who am I that You, El Boreh Olam (Creator of the Universe), are even mindful of me?  But even more amazing, You, Elohey Tzva’ot Yisrael (God of the Armies of Israel), have ordained strength to nursing infants and babes, for out of their mouth You have silenced the enemy and the avenger.

Even though You have made me a little lower than the angels, Your desire is to crown me with glory and honor through the redemptive work of Your Son, M’shi’chee (my Messiah), and as a result of my being in Him, You have given me dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under my feet, all sheep and oxen--even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas.

O Avi (my Father), YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 52

Baruch Ata, YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

O YHVH - El Elyon (God Most High), I pray, Abba, for the so-called mighty man who boasts in evil; who does not make You his strength, but puts his trust in the abundance of his riches and strengthens himself in his wickedness.  His tongue devises destruction like a sharp razor working deceitfully.  He loves evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness.  He loves all devouring words, and in His mouth is a deceitful tongue.  Yet Your goodness, Av Ha’ra’cha’mim (Father of Mercies), is always before him.  But if he does not repent, El Shofet (Judge), You will destroy him forever; You will take him away and pluck him out of his dwelling place, and uproot him from the land of the living.

However, those who are righteous will see and fear and will laugh at him, saying, “I am like a green olive tree in the House of YHVH; I trust in the mercy of YHVH - Elohey Yisrael forever and ever”.

I shall praise You always, because You have done it; and in the presence of Your called-out ones, I shall wait on Your name, YHVH - Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), for it is good.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 42

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so yearns my soul for You, Elohi (my God) Cha’ta’nee (my Bridegroom).  My soul thirsts for You, El Cha’ya’i (my Life), for deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls.  You, YHVH are the only one true living Elohim.

O Abba Ba’sha’ma’yim (Father in Heaven), I used to go with the multitude.  I went with them to a building to worship You; I went with the congregation that kept Your feast days.  I even went with a voice of joy and praise.  But now because of the way my enemies reproach me, it is as if they are breaking my bones by continually calling out, and mockingly saying: “Where is your Elohim?  Where is Elohey Yisrael?”

Why does my soul feel so cast down?  Why am I so despondent?   Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?  When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me.   My tears become my food day and night.  I will say to You, Sal’ee (my Boulder), “Why have You forgotten me?”  All Your waves and billows have gone over me.  When will I again appear before You?

Elohey Sh’lomee (my Peace), You will command Your lovingkindness, Your mercies in the daytime, and in the night Your faithfulness will be turned into a song within me.  Therefore I will remember You from the land of Yarden, from the Hill of Mitz’ar and from the Heights of Chermon.  For You, Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), are the only help and hope for my soul.  Even though at times I am cast down, I will praise You and give You glory.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 149

Baruch Ata,

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

O YHVH - Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov (God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), I praise You!  I will sing a new song of Your praise, in the assembly of the called-out ones.  We of Yisrael, who have been redeemed, rejoice in You, Bor’ey’nu (our Creator); we the children of Tziyon are joyful in You, Mal’keynu (our King).   We praise Your name, YHVH, with the dance; we sing praises to You with the timbrel and harp.  We will sing aloud on our beds and be joyful in glory.  For You, Elohey Yeshua’teynu (God of our Salvation), take pleasure in us, Your people; and You will beautify the humble among us with salvation.

O YHVH- Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), may we go out with Your high praises in our mouths and with two-edged swords in our hands; so that we may execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment; this honor have all of us who are holy unto You, YHVH.  We praise You, YHVH - Elohey Avotey’nu (God of our Fathers)!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 44

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

I have heard with my ears and I have read in Your Word, Elohey Yisrael, the deeds that You did in the days of my/our forefathers, in the days of old.  How You, Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), with Your own hand drove out the nations that were living in our land. You afflicted those peoples and cast them out.  But because You favored my/our forefathers, You planted them and even though they had to use the sword to drive out their enemy, it was You that went out before them as a consuming fire.  It was by Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand), Abba, that they gained possession.  You even said that it was not because of their righteousness that they were going in to possess the land of promise, but for Your name sake.

Please help me/us today, El Ro’ee/Ro’enu (the One Who Sees and Provides for me/us).  I/We understand that it will not be by my/our sword, nor will my/our own arm save meus, but it will be by Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand), and by the light of Your countenance.  You favor meus because of the love that You have for my/our forefathers, and it is because of Your faithfulness to the covenant that You, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov, made with them.

But what about this generation of Your people, Elohey Yisrael? You have cast us off and put us to shame, and You do not go out with our armies.  You make us turn back from the enemy, and those who hate us have taken spoil for themselves.  They are dividing up the land and saying “Aha! The everlasting heights (Yehudah and Shomron - Judea and Samaria) have become our possession!”  You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those all around us.  You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.

You have severely broken us in the place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.  We are like sheep intended for food.  You, El Shofet (Judge), have scattered us among the nations. For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  You sell Your people for next to nothing, and get nothing in return for selling us.

Awake! Why do You sleep, Ezre’nu (our Help), Go’ale’nu  (our Redeemer)?  Arise, help us, and redeem us for Your mercies' sake! Do not cast us off.  Why do You hide Your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?  For our soul is bowed down to the dust and our body clings to the ground.  Because of the voice of our enemies, and the reproaches and reviles of the avenger, our dishonor is continually before us, and the shame of our face has covered us.  All this has come upon us, because of sin and iniquity.  We have forgotten Your name YHVH, and have stretched out our hands to a foreign god.  You, Elohey Tzid’ke’nu (our Righteousness), have searched this out, You already know the secrets of the heart, nothing is hidden from You.

Help us, El Yeshu’atenu (God of our Salvation), not to forget Your name, nor to deal falsely with Your covenant.  Protect our heart so that it will not turn back, and our steps so that they will not depart from Your ways.

You are Mal’kee/Mel’kenu (my/our King). O Elee/Ele’nu (my/our Elohim), command victories for Ya’acov.  Through You, we will push down our enemies.  Through Your name YHVH – Yeshua’tee/Yeshua’tenu (my/our Salvation), we, the progeny of Yisrael, will trample those who rise up against us.  We will not trust in our bow, nor shall our sword save us.  But You, M’gee’nee/M’gee’nenu (my/our Protector/Shield), will save us from our enemies.   Put them to shame, Abba, those who hate us.  Thus we will boast all day long, and praise Your name, YHVH - El Elyon (God Most High), forever.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 101

Baruch Ata,

 YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

Help me, YHVH Tzid’kee (my Righteousness), to set nothing wicked before my eyes, for I do not want it to cling to me.  Deliver me from a perverse heart and make it depart from me, so that I will not know wickedness.  I hate the work of those who fall away, whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, also those who have a haughty look and a proud heart.  I know that You will not endure them forever but will destroy them.  For those who work deceit shall not dwell within Your house, and those who tell lies shall not continue in Your presence.  Early You will destroy all the wicked of the land, and cut off all the evildoers from Your holy city.  But You have said that Your eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they will dwell with You; and those who walk in a perfect way shall serve You, Melech HaKavod (King of Glory).

I will sing of Your mercy and justice.  To You, YHVH, Shofet Tzedek (Righteous Judge), I shall sing praises.  Help me, Abba, to behave wisely in a perfect way and to walk within my house with a perfect heart.  Oh, when will You, Moshi’ee (my Savior/Deliverer), come to me?

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 55

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

Give ear to my prayer, O YHVH - El Shaddai (Almighty), and do not hide Yourself from my supplication, because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; They bring down trouble upon me, and in wrath they hate me.  Destroy and divide their tongues, for I have seen violence and strife in their cities! Day and night they go around on the walls; while iniquity, oppression, deceit, trouble and destruction are in their midst and do not depart from their streets.  Let death seize them; let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.  Bring them down to the pit of destruction; for bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days.   Afflict them, for even those who have been from of old have not changed; they do not fear You, YHVH - Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel).

Attend to me, Abba, and hear me.  As You can see, I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily.  My heart is severely pained within me.  Fearfulness, trembling and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.  Horror has overwhelmed me; never the less, I will trust in You, El Ne’eman (Faithful God).

O YHVH – Miphla’tee (my Refuge), if only I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.  Indeed, I would wander far off, and remain in the wilderness.  I would hasten my escape from this windy storm and tempest.

For it is not an enemy who reproaches me, for it were then I could bear it.  Nor is it one who hates me, who has exalted himself against me; if that were the case, I could hide from him.  But it was a close friend, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance.  We took sweet counsel together, and walked in Your house, Mal’kee (my King), in the midst of all those who gathered there.  The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.  He put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him, and has broken his covenant.

As for me, I will call upon You, Elohey Yeshua’tee (God of my Salvation), for it is only You that shall save me.  I will cast my burden upon You, Tzu’ree (my Rock), and You shall sustain me; You shall never permit the righteous to be moved.  Therefore, evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud to You, El Ro’ee (God Who Sees and Provides for me); for You Go’alee  (my Redeemer) hear my voice, and will redeem my soul in peace from the battle that is against me, for there are many against me.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!
