PRAYER PSALM 106

PRAYER PSALM 106

Baruch Ata,

YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

Remember me, YHVH - Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), with the favor You have toward all Your people.  Visit me with Your salvation, that I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and that I may glory with Your inheritance.  For I have sinned with my forefathers. I have committed iniquity and have acted wickedly.  I, just like my forefathers in Egypt, did not understand Your wonders.  They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, but rebelled by the sea--the Sea of Reeds.  Nevertheless, You, Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel), saved them, for Your name's sake, that You might make Your mighty power known.

You, El Shaddai (God Almighty), rebuked the Sea of Reeds and it dried up; then You led them through the depths, as though it were a wilderness.  The waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left.  You saved them from the hand of him who hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.  Then they believed Your words and sang Your praise.  However, they soon forgot Your works; they did not wait for Your counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and tested You, YHVH - Tzur Yisrael (Rock of Israel), in the desert.  You gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

They even envied Moshe, in the camp, and Aharon, Your kadosh (holy/set-apart) one.  They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped the molded image thus changing their glory into the image of an ox that eats grass.  You, Shofet Tzedek (Judge of Righteousness), kindled a fire in their company, burning up the wicked in the flame.  You then opened up the earth and swallowed Dathan, covering the faction of Abiram.

They forgot You, Elohey Yeshua’teynu (God of our Salvation), You Who had done great things in Egypt, wondrous works in the land of Ham, awesome things by the Red Sea.  They complained in their tents and did not heed Your voice, YHVH - Elohey Emet (God of Truth).  Therefore You raised up Your hand in an oath against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness, even to overthrow their descendants and to scatter them into other nations and lands; all because they did not believe Your word, that You, El Ne’eman (Faithful God), would bring them into the pleasant land.  Thus they despised their own inheritance.   Therefore You, YHVH - Elohey Avotey’nu (God of our Fathers), said that You would destroy them, had not Moshe Your chosen one, stood before You in the breach, to turn away Your wrath.

This was so even after all that they joined themselves to Baal of Peor, and ate sacrifices made to the dead, thus, provoking You to anger with their deeds, and causing You to inflict them with a plague. However, Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was stopped.  This was accounted to him for righteousness to all his generations forevermore.

After You, Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy), brought them into the land, they did not destroy the peoples, of whom You, YHVH - Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), had commanded, but they mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works.  They served their idols, which then became a snare to them.  They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demon-idols of the Canaanites and shed innocent blood, until the land was polluted with blood.  Thus, they were defiled by their own works and played the harlot by their own deeds.  As a result, Your wrath, El Elyon (God Most High), was kindled against Your people, so that You abhorred Your own inheritance.  You gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, those who hated them ruled over them.  Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.  Many times, You delivered them; but they rebelled against Your counsel and were brought low for their iniquity.  Nevertheless, You, El Ra’chum (Compassionate God), regarded their affliction, when You heard their cry; and for their sake You remembered Your covenant and relented, according to the multitude of Your mercies.  You also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them away captive.

O YHVH, Elohey Yeshua’tee (God of my Salvation), may I learn from the history of my forefathers, for You are Elohey’nu  (our God), Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov (God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob).  Save us and gather us from among the Gentiles, so that we will give thanks to Your Kadosh (holy/set-apart) Name, and triumph in Your praise.

I, therefore, give You thanks for You are so good!  Your mercy endures forever.  For who can utter Your mighty acts?  Who can declare all Your praise? I am blessed when I keep justice, and do righteousness at all times.  I bless You, YHVH, Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel), from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise YHVH!  Praise You, YHVH - Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy)!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!
