Prayer Psalm 104 קד

Baruch Ata,

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

I will praise You, YHVH, Elohi (my God).  With all my heart and soul, I will   praise You.  For You are very great and You are clothed with honor and majesty.

You, Boreh Olam (Creator of the Universe), cover Yourself with light as with a garment.  You stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You lay the beams of Your upper chambers in the waters.  You make the clouds Your chariot; You walk on the wings of the wind.  You make Your angels spirits and Your ministers a flame of fire.  You, Elohey Emet (God of Truth), laid the foundations of the earth, so that it would not be moved, forever.  You covered it with the deep as with a garment; its waters stood above the mountains, and at Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.  They went up over the mountains; they went down into the valleys, to the place, which You founded for them.  You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, so that they may not return to cover the earth.

In this great and wide sea, there are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.  There the ships sail about, and the Leviathan, which You have made, plays there.  These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season.  What You, El Ro’eh (God Who Sees and Provides), give them, they gather in; You open Your hand; they are filled with good.  But if You hide Your face, they are troubled, and if You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.  But then when You send forth Your Spirit, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.

You water the hills from Your upper chambers.  You send the springs into the valleys; they flow among the hills; they give drink to every beast of the field; even the wild donkeys quench their thirst.  You cause the grass to grow, for the cattle and the vegetation, for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread which strengthens man's heart.

YHVH, El Ne’eman (Faithful God), Your trees are full of sap, the cedars of L’vanon, which You planted and the fir trees where the birds make their nests, and the stork has her home.  Because of You, the birds of the heavens have their home and sing among the branches.  You also have made the high hills for the wild goats, and the cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.

You have appointed the moon for seasons, and the sun knows its going down.  You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep about.  The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from You, Ribon Olam (Sovereign of the Universe).  When the sun rises, they gather together and lie down in their dens.  But man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.

You look on the earth, and it trembles; You touch the hills, and they smoke.  The earth is full of Your possessions.   O YHVH, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom, You have made them all.  May Your glory endure forever and may You always rejoice in Your works.  The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.  But may sinners be consumed from the earth, and the wicked be no more.

I will sing to You, Bor’ee  (my Creator), as long as I live.  While I have my being, I will sing praise to You, Elohi (my God).  My meditation of You will be sweet; I will be glad in You, Elohey Yeshua’tee (God of my Salvation).  I exalt You, YHVH; my soul praises You!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 108 קח

Baruch Ata,

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

Is it not You, YHVH - Shofet Tzedek (Judge of Righteousness), who has cast us off? Was it not You, O Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel), who did not go out with our armies?  We pray YHVH - Mephaltey’nu (our Rescuer), give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.  But through You, Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), we will do valiantly, for it is You who shall tread down our enemies.

YHVH - K’vodey’nu (our Glory), You have spoken in Your holiness that You would rejoice, that You would divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.  You, Elohey Emet (God of Truth), have proclaimed that Gilead is Yours, as well as Manasseh. You ordained Ephraim as the helmet for Your head and Judah as Your lawgiver.  However, Moab is Your wash pot; over Edom You said You would cast Your shoe; and over Philistia You have declared Your triumph."

O Abba, who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom? I pray that my heart will remain steadfast; for I will sing and give You praise, even with my glory, so that Your beloved may be delivered; save me with Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand) and hear me. For I will praise You, YHVH - El Ne’eman (Faithful God), among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.

I will awaken the dawn with the lute and the harp.  For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.  Be exalted, Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy), above the heavens, and may Your glory be above all the earth.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 123 קכז

Baruch Ata,

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

I shall lift up my eyes to You, Ezree (my Help), You who dwell in the heavens, until You have mercy on me.  Have mercy on me, YHVH - Moshi’ee (my Savior/Deliverer), have mercy on me, for my soul has been filled with contempt, with the scorn of those who are at ease and full of pride.

O YHVH, Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy), for just as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters or the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so will my eyes look to You.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 30 ל

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

I will extol You, O YHVH - El Elyon (Most High), for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me.  You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.  But if I do go down there, what profit is there in my blood?  Will the dust praise You, Elohey Emet (Elohim of Truth); will it declare Your truth?

O YHVH - Roph’ee (my Healer), when I cry out to You in my supplication, You heal me.  But if You hide your face from me, I’m in trouble.

Hear, YHVH - Go’ali  (my Redeemer), and have mercy on me and be my helper!  You, Ezree (my Helper), have turned for me my mourning into dancing. You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.  YHVH - Ma’oozee (my Strong Tower), by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong and as a result, now in my prosperity, I say "I shall never be moved."

I will sing praise to You, El Ro’eh (God Who Sees and Provides), with all Your redeemed ones, and give thanks at the remembrance of Your Kadosh (Set-Apart) name.  For Your anger may last only for a moment, but Your favor is for life.  Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Elohey Yeshu’ati (my Salvation), I will give thanks to You forever.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 15 טו

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

O YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi (my Father), my heart yearns to abide in Your tent and to dwell in Your Kadosh (Holy/Set-Apart), hill. But You require, O El Tzid’kee (my Righteousness), that I walk uprightly before You, doing works of righteousness.  You ask me to speak the truth in my heart and not to backbite or slander with my tongue, nor do evil to my neighbor.

I long to have your Torah written on my heart, that I will not take up a reproach against a friend; but will honor those who fear You, YHVH - El Gadol (Great God).  I pray that my eye will despise a vile person, and that I will never take a bribe against the innocent.  If I can accomplish these few things, You said Elohey Ya’acov, that I shall dwell in Your house and never be moved.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 22 כב

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

Because this particular Psalm speaks about the suffering Messiah and His life, I want to respect and maintain its prophetic link to Him, even though at times (or even in times to come), it may become pertinent to us as “His Body”.

There were times, Abba, especially as I hung on the tree, when I screamed out: “Elee (My God), Elee (My God), why have You forsaken Me?”  My soul in its anguish and groaning travailed wondering why You, Avi (my Father), were so far from helping me.  O Elohi (my God), I cried in the daytime, but You did not hear; and even in the night season, I did not keep silent.

You, Abba, conceived Me, Your only begotten Son, in the womb of My mother and You were the One Who took Me out of the womb.  You made Me trust while on My mother's breasts.  I was cast upon You from birth.  Even from my mother's womb You have been Elohi (my God).  You were not far from Me when trouble was near, for there were none other to help, even when the bulls surrounded Me, the strong bulls of Bashan which encircled Me.  Like a devouring and roaring lion, they sneered at Me with their mouths. They ridiculed Me, shooting out the lip, and shaking their heads, saying, "He trusted in YHVH, let Him rescue Him; let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!" These dogs surrounded Me.  The congregation of the wicked enclosed Me.  They divided My garments among themselves and for My clothing they cast lots.  They pierced My hands and My feet.  I was poured out like water, and all My bones were out of joint.  My heart melted like wax within Me.   I felt like a worm and not like a man, a reproach of men, and despised by the people.   My strength was dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue cleaved to My jaws.  I could count all My bones, while they looked up and stared back at Me.

But You, Elohey Tikvati (God my Hope), delivered Me from their swords, My only soul from the power of the dog.  You saved Me from the lion's mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen!  You answered Me.  You, YHVH - Avi, are not far from Me.  You are Elohey Chizkee (my Strength); You hastened to help Me, even though You brought Me to the dust of death.

However, My praise shall be of You, Abba Moshi’ee (my Deliverer).  In the great assembly I will pay My vows before those who fear You.  I will declare Your name to My brethren, in the midst of the assembly of Yisrael I will praise You.

Listen to Me, all You who fear YHVH, praise Him, for I am your Kinsman Redeemer.  All you descendants of Ya’acov, glorify Him.  Fear Him, all you offspring of Yisrael!  For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from Me; but when I cried to Avi Ba’sha’ma’yim (my Father in Heaven), He heard Me.

Because the kingdom is Yours, Malki (my King), and You rule over the nations, the poor shall eat and be satisfied, those who seek You will praise Your Name and their heart will live forever in You!  All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to You Ribon Olam (Sovereign).  All the families of the nations shall worship before You.  Even all the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust who cannot keep themselves alive shall bow before You, El Elyon (Most High).  They will eventually come and declare Your righteousness to a people who are yet to be born, a posterity shall serve You.  All that You have done through Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand), will be recounted to the next generation.

Avotey’nu (our Fathers) trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them.  They cried to You, Moshi’ee (my Deliverer, my Savior), and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed.  You, Yeshu’ati (my Salvation), are Kadosh (Set-Apart) and enthroned on the praises of Yisrael.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 33 לג

PRAYER PSALM 33

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

Your word, YHVH - Ribon Olam (Sovereign of the Universe), is absolutely right and Your work is done in truth.  You love righteousness and justice and the earth is full of Your goodness.  It was by Your word, and through the breath of Your mouth YHVH - Bor’ee  (my Creator), that the heavens were made, and all the host of them.  You gathered the waters of the sea together as a heap and You laid up the deep in storehouses.

O Elohey Yisrael, may I and all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of You!  May the earth and all that is in it fear Your awesome presence!  For You spoke and it was done.  You El Elyon (God Most High), commanded and the whole universe stood fast.

YHVH - Elohey Tzyion, You look from heaven, from Your dwelling place, on all the inhabitants of the earth, and You see and consider all the sons of men and the works of their hands, all those whose hearts You have fashioned.  But Your eye, YHVH - El Shaddai (Almighty), is on those who fear You, those who hope in Your mercy, that You will deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.

You, El Shofet (Judge), bring the counsel of the nations to nothing, and make the plans of the peoples of no effect.  No king is saved by the multitude of an army and a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.  Even a horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.  But Your counsel Yo’a’tzee (my Counselor), will stand forever and the plans of Your heart throughout all generations.  Therefore Your people Yisrael, which You have chosen as Your own inheritance, are blessed as a nation because You are their (our) Elohim.

My soul waits for You Go’alee  (my Redeemer), and Ezree (my Help), for You are my help and my shield.  I put my trust in Your set-apart name, YHVH - Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  My heart rejoices in You, for Your mercies, YHVH, are upon me and upon all your people. I pray Abba that you keep us in faith, hope and love.

I rejoice in You, El Tzid’kee (my Righteousness), so that the beauty of praise might flow from a heart that is right before You.  Thus I can sing a new song with the harp of ten strings and make a melody to You even with shouts of joy.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!
