Prayer Psalm 104 קד

Baruch Ata,

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

I will praise You, YHVH, Elohi (my God).  With all my heart and soul, I will   praise You.  For You are very great and You are clothed with honor and majesty.

You, Boreh Olam (Creator of the Universe), cover Yourself with light as with a garment.  You stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You lay the beams of Your upper chambers in the waters.  You make the clouds Your chariot; You walk on the wings of the wind.  You make Your angels spirits and Your ministers a flame of fire.  You, Elohey Emet (God of Truth), laid the foundations of the earth, so that it would not be moved, forever.  You covered it with the deep as with a garment; its waters stood above the mountains, and at Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.  They went up over the mountains; they went down into the valleys, to the place, which You founded for them.  You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, so that they may not return to cover the earth.

In this great and wide sea, there are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.  There the ships sail about, and the Leviathan, which You have made, plays there.  These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season.  What You, El Ro’eh (God Who Sees and Provides), give them, they gather in; You open Your hand; they are filled with good.  But if You hide Your face, they are troubled, and if You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.  But then when You send forth Your Spirit, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.

You water the hills from Your upper chambers.  You send the springs into the valleys; they flow among the hills; they give drink to every beast of the field; even the wild donkeys quench their thirst.  You cause the grass to grow, for the cattle and the vegetation, for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread which strengthens man's heart.

YHVH, El Ne’eman (Faithful God), Your trees are full of sap, the cedars of L’vanon, which You planted and the fir trees where the birds make their nests, and the stork has her home.  Because of You, the birds of the heavens have their home and sing among the branches.  You also have made the high hills for the wild goats, and the cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.

You have appointed the moon for seasons, and the sun knows its going down.  You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep about.  The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from You, Ribon Olam (Sovereign of the Universe).  When the sun rises, they gather together and lie down in their dens.  But man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.

You look on the earth, and it trembles; You touch the hills, and they smoke.  The earth is full of Your possessions.   O YHVH, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom, You have made them all.  May Your glory endure forever and may You always rejoice in Your works.  The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.  But may sinners be consumed from the earth, and the wicked be no more.

I will sing to You, Bor’ee  (my Creator), as long as I live.  While I have my being, I will sing praise to You, Elohi (my God).  My meditation of You will be sweet; I will be glad in You, Elohey Yeshua’tee (God of my Salvation).  I exalt You, YHVH; my soul praises You!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!
