PRAYER PSALM 14

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

O YHVH - Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), the fool has said in his heart: "There is no Elohim."  They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good; no, not one. They are fraudulent and rebellious; they have done abominable works.  These workers of iniquity have no knowledge, they eat up Your people as they eat bread, and do not call on You, their Creator.  They will be left in great fear, because You, El Elyon (God Most High), are with the generation of the righteous.

The wicked and foolish may shame the counsel of the poor, but You, El M’tzu’datee (my Fortress), are a refuge for the poor and humble in heart.

O YHVH - El Elyon (God Most High), look down from heaven upon the children of men, and see if there are any who understand, who seek You, El HaKavod (God of Glory).

Bring back, Abba, Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), the captivity of Your people, so that the salvation of Yisrael can come out of Tziyon.  Then Ya’acov will rejoice and Yisrael will be glad.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

PRAYER PSALM 107

Baruch Ata

YHVH - Elohey Yisrael, Avi

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father).

YHVH - Avinu Ba’sha’ma’yim (our Father in Heaven), we Your redeemed ones give You thanks, for You are good; and Your mercy, El Ra’chum (Compassionate God), endures forever.  For You, Go’aleynu (our Redeemer), have redeemed us from the hand of the enemy and are gathering us out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

We wandered in the wilderness, in a desolate way and found no city to dwell in.  Hungry and thirsty, our souls fainted from within.  But when we cried out to You, YHVH - Mephaltey’nu (our Rescuer), in our trouble, You delivered us out of our distresses.  You led us forth by the right way, that we might go to a city for a dwelling place.

Oh, that other men would give thanks to You - YHVH - Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel), for Your goodness, and for Your wonderful works that You do amongst the children of men!  For You, El Ro’eh (God Who Sees and Provides), satisfy the longing soul and fill the hungry soul with goodness.  But because they rebelled against Your words Elohey Emet (God of Truth), and despised Your counsel, El Elyon (God Most High), You brought down their heart with labor; they fell down and there was none to help.  They sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons.  But if they will cry out to You, YHVH - Elohey Yeshua’teynu (God of our Salvation), in their trouble, You will save them out of their distresses; You will brake their chains in pieces, and bring them out of darkness and the shadow of death.

Oh, that men would give thanks to You, YHVH - El Ra’chum (Compassionate God), for Your goodness, and for Your wonderful works to the children of men!  But because of their transgressions and iniquities, they became fools, and their souls abhorred all manner of food and drew near to the gates of death.

Therefore You, Shofet Tzedek (Judge of Righteousness), turn their rivers into a wilderness, and the water springs into dry ground, a fruitful land into barrenness, all because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.  They were diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction and sorrow, You pour contempt on their princes and caused them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way.

But if they will cry out to You, YHVH - Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy), in their trouble, You will save them out of their distresses.
You will send Your word and heal them, and deliver them from their destructions.  You will break the gates of bronze, and cut the bars of iron in two.  You will turn their wilderness into pools of water and dry land into water springs.  They will sow fields and plant vineyards and yield a fruitful harvest.  You will bless them and they will multiply greatly, their cattle will not decrease and there will be no one that hungers.  They will establish a city for a dwelling place.

Oh, that man would give thanks to You, YHVH for Your goodness and for Your wonderful works to the children of men!  Even those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters, have seen Your works and Your wonders in the deep.  For You command and raise the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea.  They mount up to the heavens; they go down again to the depths.   The souls of the sailors melt because of their trouble.  They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits' end.  But when they cry out to You, YHVH - El Shaddai (God Almighty), in their trouble, You will bring them out of their distresses and calm the storm, so that its waves are still.  Then they will be glad because they are quiet and You will guide them to their desired haven. Then they will sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare Your works with rejoicing.

Oh, that men would give thanks to You, YHVH - Elohey Yisrael (God of Israel), for Your goodness and for Your wonderful works to the children of men!  Let them exalt You also in the assembly of the people and praise You in the company of the elders.  For You have set the poor on high, far from affliction and make their families like a flock.  The righteous sees it and rejoices, but all the iniquitous stop their mouths.  Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand Your lovingkindness.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Isaiah 12's Prayer

The short chapter of Isaiah 12 in its entirety is a prayer of confession and comfort, but also a declaration of a promise and thanksgiving. The reason for this exclamatory prayer in Isaiah 12, which begins “In that day”, is found in the verses leading up to it; Thus we read in Isaiah 11:10-16: "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the nations shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious. It shall come to pass in that day that YHVH shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left…  He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.  Also the envy of Ephraim shall depar t, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.  But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; together they shall plunder the people of the East; they shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; and the people of Ammon shall obey them…   There will be a highway for the remnant of His people who will be left from Assyria, as it was for Israel in the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.”  Now back (and forward) to Isaiah 12:1: And in that day [being the day mentioned in 11:11] you will say: ‘O YHVH, I/we will praise You; though You were angry with me/us [Israel], Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me/us [Israel].  Behold, Elohim is my/our salvation, I/we will trust and not be afraid; 'For YAH, YHVH is my/our strength and song; He also has become my/our salvation [through Yeshua].’ Therefore with joy you/we will draw water from the wells of salvation [from the root of Jesse].  And in that day you/we will say: ‘Praise YHVH, call upon His name; declare His deeds [that is: keeping covenant and restoring the remnant of His people the whole house of Israel] among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted.  Sing to YHVH, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth [the testimony of YHVH’s faithfulness to His covenant] Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!"  (emphases added).
What are the excellent things that YHVH has done, and is doing, other than bringing to fulfillment what He covenanted with the forefathers of Israel and Judah and what He promised through the prophets of old?  Together we can all exclaim that He is just and faithful!

Prayer Psalm 119 Bet and Gimel

BET
I can cleanse my way, YHVH - Ribon Olam (Sovereign of the Universe), by taking heed to Your word and seeking You with my whole heart.  I pray, let me not wander from Your commandments; but may I hide Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You with my lips.  I shall declare all the judgments of Your mouth.  I shall rejoice in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.  I shall meditate on Your precepts and contemplate Your ways.  I pray, Abba, that I shall always delight myself in Your statutes and not forget Your word.  Blessed are You, O YHVH - Moree (my Teacher); continue to teach me Your statutes!

GIMEL
Deal bountifully, YHVH - Mal’kee (my King), with Your servant and open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your Torah; so that I may live and keep Your word.  Because I am a stranger in the earth, do not hide Your commandments from me.  At all times, my soul longs for Your judgments and my heart’s desire is to keep Your commandments and to meditate on Your statutes.  Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.  I ask You, Elohey Tzedek (God of Righteousness), remove from me reproach and contempt; rebuke the proud and the cursed who stray from Your commandments, for their princes sit and speak against me.

PRAYER PSALM 19

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

The heavens, Abba, Elohey Yisrael, declare Your glory and the firmament reveals Your handiwork.  The heavens and the earth speak to me day after day of who You are, and night after night they reveal a knowledge of You that leaves me speechless and in awe of Your greatness.   Even though there is no audible sound of a language and their voice is not heard, never-the-less their line, their testimony, their witness of Your creative power and wisdom have gone out through all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

O Ribon Olam (Sovereign of the Universe), Bor’ee  (my Creator), You have given to the sun the firmament for a tabernacle, its course is already set towards its final destination as it begins its rising from one end of the heavens. This can be compared to a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, rejoicing like a strong man to run his race, for his course is also set towards his final destination, the marriage feast.  Just as there is nothing hidden from the heat of the sun, so too there is nothing hidden from the love of the Bridegroom for His bride.

O YHVH - Ohavi (my Lover), Chatani (my Bridegroom), Your Torah is perfect, preparing my soul for the marriage.   Your testimony is so secure that it will turn my simple ways into a path of wisdom.   My heart will rejoice in the uprightness of Your statutes and my eyes shall be enlightened by Your commandments.  May my reverence for You be pure and untainted, enduring forever.

Your judgments are true and righteous altogether. May I desire them, El Tzidki (God my Righteousness), more than gold, yes, more than much fine gold, for they are sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.  Moreover as Your servant, I am warned by them, but if I keep them and cherish them in my heart there is a great reward.

Yes, YHVH - Go’ali  (my Redeemer), I may at times err in Your ways, Abba, but I ask You, Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), to cleanse me from hidden faults and keep me, Your servant of righteousness, from presumptuous sins. Let not the power of sin have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgressions.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Avi, Chizki (my Strength), and Go’ali  (my Redeemer).

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 80

Baruch Ata, YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

O YHVH, Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), You have fed us, Your chosen ones, with the bread of tears and have given to us tears to drink in great measure.  You, El Ro’eh (God Who Sees and Provides), have made us an object of strife to our neighbors; and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.

As our husbandman, You brought us like a vine out of Egypt. You, Moshi’ee (my Savior/Deliverer), cast out the nations and planted us on our inheritance, in the land of Canaan.  You prepared room for us and caused our root to go deep into the soil and to grow until we filled the land.  The hills as well as the boughs of the mighty cedars were covered with the shadow of Your vineyard.  You, Elohey Chesed (God of Mercy), sent out our boughs to the sea and our branches to the river.

But because of our unfaithfulness, adultery and idolatry You, Shofet Tzedek (Judge of Righteousness), have broken down our hedges, so that all who pass by the way pluck our fruit.   The boar, out of the woods uprooted Your vineyard; and the wild beast of the field devoured it.

O YHVH – Elohey Yeshua’teynu (God of our Salvation), return.  We beseech You, Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), look down from heaven and see; visit Your vine and the vineyard which Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand) had planted, and the branch that You made strong for Yourself.  It has been burned with fire; it has been cut down; we have perished at the rebuke of Your countenance.

Restore us, O El HaKavod (God of Glory); cause Your face to shine, so that we may be saved!  Let Your hand be upon the man of Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand), upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.  Revive us and we will call upon Your name; we will not turn back from You.  Restore us, O Tzur Yisrael (Rock of Israel).  Give ear, Ro’eh Yisrael (Shepherd of Israel), You who lead Yoseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!  Before Ephraim, Binyamin, and Menasheh stir up Your strength and come and save us!  Cause Your face to shine, Elohey Yeshua’teynu (God of our Salvation), and we shall be saved!

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You, YHVH, are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!

Prayer Psalm 47

Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.

(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)

For You, El Elyon (God Most High), are awesome.  You, Mal’kee (my King), are a great King over all the earth.  You will subdue, under the feet of Your called-out ones, nations with their people.  You will give to us the promised inheritance, the excellence of our forefather, Ya’acov, whom You love.

You, YHVH – Yeshua’tee (my Salvation), have gone up with a shout “teru’ah”, with the sound of a trumpet.  Therefore I will clap my hands with all of Your people!  I will shout unto You, YHVH - Elohey Tzva’ot (God of the Armies), with the voice of triumph!  I will sing praises to You, Ro’eh Yisrael (Shepherd of Israel), Mal’kee (my King).  I will sing praises to You, Abba!  For You are Melech (King) of all the earth. I will sing praises with my understanding, knowing that You reign over all the nations and that You, El Gadol (Great God) sit on Your kadosh (holy set-apart) throne.

All Your princes, Your chosen firstborn, out of the people of the seed of Avraham are being gathered together.  We belong to You Abba, Elohey Israel, and are Your shields, that You use for the protection of the earth.  You, Melech HaKavod (King of Glory), are worthy to be praised and to be greatly exalted.

Hallelu-Yah!!!  For You YHVH are Elohim.  You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’acov.  Avi the Almighty reigns!
