Baruch Ata YHVH,
Elohey Yisrael, Avi’nu.
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, our Father)
YHVH
– Orey’nu (our Light), and Yeshua’tey’nu (our Salvation), whom shall we
fear? Because You, Abba, are El Chai’yey’nu
(our Life), Ma’o’zey’nu (our Strength), whom shall we be afraid of? Even when our wicked enemies and foes are like
an army encamped against us, and they rise up to devour our flesh through war,
our heart shall not fear, for our confidence is in You, Elohey Tzva’ot (God of
the Armies), for they will stumble and fall.
In these times of trouble, You are, M’tzuda’tey’nu
(our Fortress), and You will hide us in Your strong tower, in the secret
place of Your tabernacle You will shelter us; You, will set us high upon a
rock, so that our head will be lifted up above our enemies all around us. We pray, Abba, do not deliver us to the will
of those adversaries who breathe out violent and false accusations against us!
Hear, YHVH – Ribon Olam (Sovereign), when we cry with
our voice! Have mercy upon us and answer us. Do not hide Your face from us. Do not turn Your servant away in anger. You
have been our help; therefore, do not leave us nor forsake us, O El Go’aley’nu
(our Redeemer). Even though our fathers and our mothers may abandon us, You, Ro’eh
Yisrael (Shepherd of Israel), will take care of us.
Therefore, we will offer sacrifices of joy in Your
tabernacle, and we will sing, yes, we will sing praises to You, YHVH El Tzu’rey’nu
(our Rock). For there is one thing that we have desired of You, El Ro’ey’nu (our
God Who Sees and Provides), that will we seek.
We want to behold Your beauty and to inquire in Your temple so that we
may dwell in Your house, the restored house of Ya’acov, all the days of our
life.
You have asked us to seek Your face. You know, Abba, that our heart yearns to look
upon Your face, so teach us Your way, O YHVH, and lead us in a smooth path for Your
name's sake and because of our enemies.
For we would have lost heart, unless we had believed that we would see
Your goodness in the land of the living.
Therefore we will wait upon You, El Elyon (Most High), so that You will give
us courage and strengthen our hearts.
