Baruch
Ata YHVH, Elohey Yisrael, Avi.
(Bless
You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, my Father)
Because
this particular Psalm speaks about the suffering Messiah and His life, I want
to respect and maintain its prophetic link to Him, even though at times (or
even in times to come), it may become pertinent to us as “His Body”.
There
were times, Abba, especially as I hung on the tree, when I screamed out: “Elee (My
God), Elee (My God), why have You forsaken Me?” My soul in its anguish and groaning travailed
wondering why You, Avi (my Father), were so far from helping me. O Elohi (my God), I cried in the daytime, but
You did not hear; and even in the night season, I did not keep silent.
You, Abba,
conceived Me, Your only begotten Son, in the womb of My mother and You were the
One Who took Me out of the womb. You
made Me trust while on My mother's breasts.
I was cast upon You from birth. Even
from my mother's womb You have been Elohi (my God). You were not far from Me when trouble was near,
for there were none other to help, even when the bulls surrounded Me, the strong
bulls of Bashan which encircled Me. Like
a devouring and roaring lion, they sneered at Me with their mouths. They ridiculed
Me, shooting out the lip, and shaking their heads, saying, "He trusted in YHVH,
let Him rescue Him; let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!" These
dogs surrounded Me. The congregation of
the wicked enclosed Me. They divided My
garments among themselves and for My clothing they cast lots. They pierced My hands and My feet. I was poured out like water, and all My bones
were out of joint. My heart melted like
wax within Me. I felt like a worm and
not like a man, a reproach of men, and despised by the people. My strength was dried up like a potsherd, and
My tongue cleaved to My jaws. I could count
all My bones, while they looked up and stared back at Me.
But You,
Elohey Tikvati (God my Hope), delivered
Me from their swords, My only soul from the power of the dog. You saved Me from the lion's mouth and from
the horns of the wild oxen! You answered
Me. You, YHVH - Avi, are not far from Me.
You are Elohey Chizkee (my Strength); You hastened
to help Me, even though You brought Me to the dust of death.
However,
My praise shall be of You, Abba Moshi’ee
(my Deliverer). In the great assembly I
will pay My vows before those who fear You.
I will declare Your name to My brethren, in the midst of the assembly of
Yisrael I will praise You.
Listen
to Me, all You who fear YHVH, praise Him, for I am your Kinsman Redeemer. All you descendants of Ya’acov, glorify Him. Fear Him, all you offspring of Yisrael! For He has not despised nor abhorred the
affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from Me; but when I
cried to Avi Ba’sha’ma’yim (my
Father in Heaven), He heard Me.
Because
the kingdom is Yours, Malki (my
King), and You rule over the nations, the poor shall eat and be satisfied, those
who seek You will praise Your Name and their heart will live forever in You! All the ends of the earth shall remember and
turn to You Ribon Olam (Sovereign). All the families of the nations shall worship
before You. Even all the prosperous of
the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust who cannot
keep themselves alive shall bow before You, El Elyon (Most High). They will eventually come and declare Your
righteousness to a people who are yet to be born, a posterity shall serve You. All that You have done through Y’min’cha (Your Right Hand), will
be recounted to the next generation.
Avotey’nu (our Fathers) trusted in
You; they trusted, and You delivered them.
They cried to You, Moshi’ee
(my Deliverer, my Savior), and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were
not ashamed. You, Yeshu’ati (my Salvation), are Kadosh (Set-Apart) and enthroned on
the praises of Yisrael.
Hallelu-Yah!!! For You YHVH are Elohim. You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham,
Yitzchak and Ya’acov. Avi the Almighty
reigns!
