Baruch
Ata,
YHVH
- Elohey Yisrael, Avi’nu
(Bless You, YHVH - Elohim of Israel, our
Father).
Remember, O YHVH - Elohey Tziyon (God of
Zion), the sons of Edom, who in the day of Yeru’shala’yim, said, "Raze
it; raze it, to its very foundation!"
O daughter of Babylon, you who are to be destroyed, happy is the one who
repays you as you have served us! Happy is the one who takes and dashes your
little ones against the rock!
When we sat down by the rivers of Babylon,
we wept when we remembered Tziyon. We
hung our harps upon the weeping willows, in the midst of it. For there, those who carried us away captive
asked of us a song; and those who plundered us requested mirth saying,
"Sing us one of the songs of Tzyion!"
But how shall we sing this song of YHVH’s in a foreign land? “If I
forget you, O Yeru’shala’yim, let my right hand forget its skill! If I do not
remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth -- If I do not exalt
Yeru’shala’yim above my chief joy”.
Hallelu-Yah!!! For You, YHVH, are Elohim. You are Elohey Yisrael, Elohey Avraham,
Yitzchak and Ya’acov. Avi’nu the
Almighty reigns!
